Molly McClure has designed and facilitated workshops with a wide range of people and organizations, including teachers, activist groups, health and social service providers, foster care parents, youth, faith-based communities, boards of directors, college students, and LGBTQ organizers. Molly first became politicized through queer, feminist, and global justice organizing in the Pacific Northwest in the 90s. While living in Philadelphia for 5 years, Molly taught sexuality education in high schools, supported immigrant rights and gender justice organizing, and facilitated self-defense and anti-racism workshops. Since Hurricane Katrina, Molly has been doing Gulf Coast solidarity work in and out of New Orleans, and organizing around the struggle for a just reconstruction. Currently living in Oakland, California, Molly does anti-racist organizing with Catalyst Project (collectiveliberation.org) and works with Just Cause Oakland (justcauseoakland.org) whose mission is to prevent displacement and to build power in working class communities of color. Molly is inspired and rejuvenated by learning about liberation struggles, baking cupcakes, being in the redwoods, building community, and dreaming about life after capitalism.
Molly leads the Whites Confronting Racism workshop.
