Hannah Strange leading participants through a creative brainstorm at the Super-T in 2009
Hannah Strange is an independent consultant who supports groups working for environmental sustainability, social and economic justice, and human rights to become vibrant, creative, and diverse organizations that are strategic and effective in their work for social change. She is a talented experiential educator and curriculum writer, brings clarity and creativity to meeting facilitation, and helps organizations navigate skillfully through periods of change and growth.
Through her previous work experience with The Ruckus Society, the Council for Responsible Public Investment, and Food First! The Institute for Food and Development Policy, Hannah gained a wide range of experience as a researcher, experiential educator, strategist, and advocate. She created opportunities for organic farmers and food justice activists to network and develop shared strategy against genetically modified foods; organized college students in a divestment campaign against the transnational tobacco industry; supported Native American communities struggling for sovereignty and environmental justice; stood with Tibetans in demanding human rights through courageous acts of civil disobedience; and educated youth about options for resisting military recruitment, and for building positive alternatives to war and violence.
In addition to her consulting work, Hannah is the Board President for Training for Change. She lives in Oakland, CA, where she's been for the past decade since she moved from her hometown of Cleveland, OH.
